Cristian Soncini

He received a PhD in Nanotechnology at the University of Trieste, Italy (2022). He developed a setup for time-resolved X-ray absorption at the BACH beamline of the Elettra synchrotron (Trieste, Italy), studying exciton and charge transfer dynamics in organic heterojunctions relevant to photovoltaic applications. Subsequently, he has been a post-doc at the ‘Istituto di Fotonica e Nanotecnologie’ (IFN) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) at Politecnico di Milano in Dr. Vozzi’s group, where he developed a time-resolved high-order harmonic generation setup to explore the interaction between condensed matter and strong laser fields. Currently, he is a post-doc at the Elettra synchrotron (Trieste, Italy) in the context of the CHIRAX project. His research focuses on developing a flat liquid jet setup and new methods to extend circular dichroism spectroscopy of chiral systems in solution to the X-ray domain.
