Monica de Simone
Monica de Simone is research scientist at CNR-IOM (Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche; Istituto Officina dei Materiali). At the Gas Phase Photoemission beamline (GasPhase, the atomic and molecular facility of the Elettra synchrotron in Trieste) she has participated in national and international scientific projects concerning the study of the electronic properties of isolated systems of increasing complexity (atoms, molecules, clusters), as well as the development of instrumentation for VUV spectroscopies and of new advanced materials. She’s presently working at the Molecular and Optical Science and Technology beamline (MOST) within the Elettra 2.0 upgrade plan.
Her scientific contributions include over 200 publications in journals, proceedings, and technical reports (ORCID profile: 0000-0002-9491-0173).
